Nice build thread.....looking forward to seeing your reef mature.

Chiming in to concur that LC and yellow tangs are a no go. Never had any experince killing other tangs with it (accidentally of course) but I sure did have two very large and very old yellow tangs go belly up a day after dosing some LC.

Live and learn.

Thanks! The tank is approaching 3 months and is doing well.

It is weird how it appears to only affect yellow tangs although not all. I have two others in another system that showed no issues when using LC.

Looks great your tank is coming along nicely

Thanks a lot! Things are going better than expected with coral growth and color, albeit still is slow and will be awhile before achieving a mature reef setting.

Thanks 'FLipp' for taking two hours out of your life to read my thread! I am glad I really committed myself to the new reef tank. It is awesome to see it all put together and thriving.

Kill it! Take the rock out if you can, put it in a bowl or bucked of sw and put some kalk paste on it. Then with a turkey baster or baby asperater(works best) suck him out once it has shriveled to nothing. This way you get foot and all. This works beautifully for me. Just killed off 2 in a fire and ice rock ;)

Peppermint shrimp will eat the hell out of aiptasia. This is the easiest way to get rid of them and keep them gone.

I thought I would capture some pictures since I am bored tonight. More for info to refer back to later to see the growth progression. Unfortunately I am using an iPad so the colors are not as bright as in person.........
