Today starts my long journey into the world of saltwater. I bought some used tanks, and decided to use a 55gal tank with a 30 gal sump. Cleaning up my sump and display tank. Will post pictures as I go. Probably not going to have corals at first, but I will get there.

Any suggestions on equipment are most welcome. I am working on a diy overflow which, when done can handle about 360gph.

Starting small, just a clown fish pair,a blenny of some sort and maybe a green manderin after a bit. Then when everythin ggets upgraded (lights mostly) i will put in some zoas, leathers, and eventually an anemone or two.

I would be careful on collecting rocks and shells. In most places it's prohibited. Just letting you know.

Other than that sounds good. The shells look nice.

Never heard that until now. And these shells are from years ago so I should be fine. The rocks are from a pet supply store in wisconsin
