Hi.
Here is the start to my new build.

Goal is a lightly mixed reef. I want to keep it a clean look.

Still waiting on the stand before it gets wet.

IM nuvo fusion 40
30# Marco dry rock (acid dipped)
Jbj ato
IM reactor (going to run gfo, if phos. Are detectable in beginning due to rock)
Testing - hana & Salifert
power heads - wp10&25 (previous build) Looking at either rw4's or Tunze
Waiting for - InTank media baskets to be available (micron, floss, carbon, purigen)
Ghost skimmer
Custom ato reservoir

In process of:
Kessil 360w waiting for the controller to come out, should be by time tank is done cycling.
Deciding on controller - most likely RKL plus

Looking forward to suggestions.
Thanks.

This is a great tank. I bought the nuvo 30, but the back wall was broke & they discontinued them. So they sent me the 40 upgrade. All summer no tank!

Thank you.

As far as Stocking;

ricordea "garden" on the bottom left branch since its slightly shaded and far enough away from the top branches.

Top 4 branches probably A couple Acro's on one side & multiple color monti's on other.

Mainly when established clams.... Love the clams & urchins

Haven't decided on fish yet, most likely a few different peaceful nano fishes...aka: shrimp & goby, cardinal, indigo dotty. (No clown - ing around in here).

I Don't want to many varieties of coral, then rather let a few nice frags grow into abundant colonies taking up their own "branch" per se.

Yeah I will in next few days.
Im not home when lights are on this week.

Changed directions to a dominate LPS.

Went through a bad break of nudibranchs and lost all my montipora and digitata's.

This pic is not accurate, as I have since added some live rock I had cooking from last tank.

Also getting full of Euphyllia.

The pistol shrimp seem to want to be on the cover of architectural digest every day.

Lost all these, was bad! Eggs don't die with dips.

Oh- also getting married in May, so funding of corals is at an all time low right now.

Still sneaking them in though...lol

Well that stinks about the nudibranch. I wonder if flatworm exit works on those like it does on zoa eating nudibranch. Congrats on the wedding! Maybe you'll get some frags as a wedding gift..... a guy can dream can't he?

We are getting married at Long Island Aquarium....can wish.

Funny because my soon to be wife had to have some blue Sympodium @ a lfs because they came from the LI aquarium prorogation.

I tried every method and dips avaliable for them. They went away for about a month, then new eggs hatched , ever repeating.
Just going dormant on monti's for awhile, next upgrade I guess.
