Hi all,

It has been a very long break, after living in US for 10 years I moved back to my home country Turkey and it took me 3 years to start a new tank. You all know how hard it was to be tank-less after 10 years of reef keeping. the tank started on the 25th of February 2012. It is a 110 Gal main tank and 20 gal sump. I know the sump is tiny and am having a lot of difficulties because of that.

I filled the tank with RO water and used various salt that I can get my hands on here. The first one was Tropic Marine reef. Then used Red sea, tried a a local brand, and currently using aquarium systems reef crystal.

Live rock was a big problem found live and death sand with no problem.

Lights changed so many times since 2012 started with T5 MH combination it was a small one and changed it very early even before putting any corals.

Tried several different T5 combinations 6x54W, 4x54W+(2x54W)x2, Currently I have 8x80W T5 on my tank.

Forgot to mention the tank is at my balcony so you can imagine the heating and cooling problems. But I always have the extra light source :)

A better organization of the old lights

Like MH but they are too hot and electricity is really expensive here :mad2::mad2:

Skimmer was a problem the good ones were expensive and the bad ones were just bad. I tried several OK ones now I have a BK mini 200 but before that I had these.

I will try to update pictures from time to time. Better yet I have a live feed from the tank 24/7 the light pattern may not fit to your time zone but you can catch the lights between 7:00-21:00 (UTC + 3).

I loved that sea urchin unfortunately lost that recently during a treatment that supposed to be reef safe. Here is an other picture.
