Big Steve's getting back into hobby our new 40b rimless

Hey everyone just getting a thread going for the new setup will be adding more as it goes but here's the tank before cleaning up. Some stand in progress n tank on it running vinager n water cleaning up more. Still getting everything together to complete the build. We are building a 29g sump that will have a bubble magus nac 6 skimmer, heater, jebao dct 4000 return pump with controller that will also feed reactors we planned. The plan is a maxspect gyre xf130 for flow in tank as well. We are going with led lighting on both the tank and sump. Cut 2 baffles today before wheel fell off tool so hopefully finish them after trip to store. Hopefully you enjoy here's few pics of main rock we are using also. God bless .....Steve

Thank you everyone and big thank you to Chris(creefer) for the tank and the skimmer we got from him. We spent the day at U of M cancer center today for Dr and chemo everything went well and afterwards we saw Chris and got the bubble magus Nac 6 skimmer

The new toys to add to the project skimmer needs a good bath but will wait till tomorrow for that lol. Also got together with another reefer from mi and got a new ocean revive t247 led lighting and a 3 stage ro/di. So getting closer to sand and water

Well feeling little better takes couple days after chemo to get back to working on the new light hanger and some plumbing. My son was skeptical about my idea for hanging light but after it's together he agreed it's a good idea n looks ok for less then ten bucks into it :thumbup: hopefully you enjoy thank you for looking and God bless.......Steve

So we are playing with the rocks trying to figure out how we want them but in water starting to get anything in them from sitting dry out. They been in bins couple weeks now to start the leaching out of stuff. Heading to Ann arbor later today for scans tomorrow to see how chemo is working and for moms surgery tomorrow am there. Hopefully next week get sand n salt to start cycling everything. Still waiting on return pump also. Few pics enjoy

sure thing Chris soon as we're up and running a bit I'll post a review of light n such. So far I like it still playing with it some but really can't test till there's corals can't wait for that again. Hope it works out getting the 93g cube n stand in Ohio. Also suggestions for livestock would be appreciated. Thinking clowns and nem but open for other ideas. I know people flip about tangs but we may rotate juvenile tangs a close friend owns lfs so he will swap as it grows for another juvenile if we do go that route and it'd be a kole tang probably we had one before and loved it. Maybe wrasse or something like a zebra Catalina goby even thought about yellow assessor or pearly headed jawfish also love the dwarf angels. So toss the ideas out there. God bless.......Steve
