thanks, im very hard on myself with this build, my first was slapped together and i didn't like looking at it. so this time everything has to be perfect. just notice a glitch in a couple of base board cuts, might have to be replaced or somehow be fix before i continue. if i had a shop so i somewhere to work this wouldnt take so long. right now in my living room i have, 2 tanks, a stand and a canopy all sitting where it will be setup at. then i got all the lights and skimmers and salt in my bedroom. nowhere else to store it till i get everything built.

I'd offer you some much deserved shop space... but it's one hell of a commute and our weather bites. you sound like a true die hard.

Sorry its hard to get good pics with the high gloss black paint. I hope to have to have the tank on top tomorrow to start plumbing. My plan is to run fresh water to ensure no leakes and how quiet it runs. The only part i have to finish is the canopy. Day by day im getting closer to being done!

nice work man. I meant to ask you at the meeting how everything was coming along. But hosting kinda had pulled in too many directions. What are your plans for the scape? dry rock or LR?

Hopefully next weekend. I just got to get some loc-line return spouts, maybe 300w heater and some mesh filter socks. It will be about a month before i add salt as this sits in the livingroom and need it to be as quiet as possible.

Well pending weather i might get the floor braced today. I got concrete footers poured and just to need to brace with blocks. If i can get my neighbors to help me pick up this super heavy tank and place it on the stand. i will get started on plumbing.

Ok got the tank up on the stand and put a thin top coat on too. Maybe tomorrow i will start plumbing. I plan on doing 2- 1.5 inch drains that drain into one down to the sump and one return all plumbing is 1.5inch. Please give any advise to help keep quiet.

    plumbing help

Need some advice, i have two 1.5 drains and one 1.5 return. I have plumbing dry fitted and im torn between leaving it the way it is now-(1) my two drains come together at a cross in the back middle of the tank with a snorkel on the top part let air out. It has a 45degree drain as i dont want alot of noise and i believe by allowing a slope for the drain that it may help with noise. (2) have the drain closest to me in the picture with a 45 degree slope to te other side to my sump and plumb the othe drain on the other end vertical as a emergency backup by plumbing each one seperate. The tank has a coast to coast and i want to try and get this right the first time instead of wasting fittings.

Im typing this with my tablet and so if you need more info please let me know
    thanks for all your help
    greg
