Can anyone recommend me a silent return pump around 3000 gal per hour?

Thanks.

Silent and 3000 GPH dont usually go hand in hand. But DC pumps seem to be the quietest of the bunch. the Jebao DC12000 is rated to 3175.

From what I'm hearing, without spending an arm and a leg, the Waveline DC pumps may be your best bet.

I've got two DC12000 pumps and like them, but several people have reported issues with them and their noise levels can be hit or miss. I've had a power supply die on mine, but fortunately had a laptop power supply that ran it at half-speed until I could get a replacement in. :)

There's a new 2015 model that replaces DC12000, it's called DCT-12000, hopefully it will be good. I'm getting it in a couple days. Will let you know if it hit or miss. :)

Sounds great, Cheng. :) I'd pick up an extra if you can, just in case. Really, though, I'd do that with any pump and also with my Apex. :)

The dc 12000 had quite a negative publicity with all the leakage issues, and that's why I stayed away from it. I hope this dct design is better.

Great Pls post your finding and experience. Thanks!!
I installed it today. I replaced my old pump
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000HAU4QI/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Few things I've noticed
1. Extremely quiet, just very faint motor sound, a lot more quiet than the old MP40 for sure
2. No vibration, which my old one had. That helps with a lot of sound issue
3. I think it's less powerful than my old one even it has higher GPH rate
4. smaller footprint, very easy to place
5. Very reasonably priced at $147 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SQX5CEM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Overall I am pleased for the noise level and the price.

Cool thanks. Are you using this as a power head? A little confused why you compared a mp40.

Running the DCT-12000 and is very quiet and strong. There's a 15000 coming from my understanding. Good luck.

Just found it online. $200 for a max speed of 4000 gph at 105 watts and 10 speed control. Wow, that's a deal as long as the build and quality is good.

Glad you like it Cheng. I simply love my DC6000 Jebao. as stated it is super quiet. if you know what to listen for, you can hear it spool up.

Yea, the faint motor noise can definitely be heard. Comparing it to my old one, it's heaven to earth. :) Thanks for the recommendation. :)
