Yay! Hello everybody, I'm entering a 3G Pico in the Nano in 90 competition.

Marine Depot sent me the new JBJ Cubey Deluxe to test in April. I originally started the tank at the end of April, and re-started it. Originally it had lettuce sea slugs and I was putting in frags with bryopsis from my main tank to feed them. Once they cleaned the frags of bryopsis I would switch them out for others. I re-started the tank this week. I did this because while on a work trip last week, I received pictures from my 9 year old nephew (the tank sitter) which showed that the tank was cloudy. Before I left one of the sea slugs had torn in two and it probably slimed or inked and ticked everything off. While nothing actually died, I decided to start over. The story so far is below.
The pics above show the leak test from April. Yeah that's a cat in there.

As tradition goes, my tanks start with a catfish. The judges in this competition should consider this a cycle starter not livestock :nerd:

Errr. Here's the pico.

I threw in water from my established tank, some rocks and macros from there and we were off.
My friends from Dallas sent me a hunk of GSP which the post office decided to keep for an extra day. Some of the bits survived

So here's the cloudy tank from last week

Changed nearly 100% water on it but even so the crud doesn't come out fully. One of the limitations of this tank (amongst a few others)

And here we are. Refreshed and ready to party.

Hmmm. I'll have to look up paradise and time machines. My rastas as small but not ultra small, clementines size is perfect.

My established tank is crammed with corals too, so am I really going to be doing anything different?

I'm going to try a minimalist approach (hah!) and try to mimic a fresh water planted tank.
At the same time: at the back of my mind is my miniature garden fuge

The little details in this fuge were great. It gives a little bit of the planted tank feel without the zen quality of course.
So those are the ideas that I am pondering.

Ya'll are killing me. But over tightening a bulkhead - well, the shoe might fit. Those are some beautiful picos for inspiration.
