Tank arrived today, shipped from innovative marine via freight on a pallet. It was packed nicely and not a single scratch or crack.
This is replacing a nuvo 24 I picked up earlier this year that cracked, I opted to pay the extra 100.00 difference plus shipping in hopes this will be a better tank and I have to say that I'm impressed. IM did toss in a minimax reactor for free so that's a plus.

Now I have an Aquatic Fundamentals 30/38/45 stand that was being used for the 24g, the length is perfect for the 30L but it is 2 inches short width.
I picked up a 1/2" MDF and had it cut to 37.25L x 15.25w, extra quarter each way. I'm trying to decide if I want to just replace the top of the stand entirely or just screw the new board to the top.
I'm not to sure if the MDF I picked up is as heavy duty as the piece if be replacing.

I have the 2 intank media racks left from the nuvo 24, they are about a 1/8 to talk as the 30L over flow is just a bit lower than the 14g. The fuge racks fits nicely has about 1" worth of room behind all the racks so these will make do for now and I'll just wait and see what Stevie comes out with.

I haven't decided what to put in the minimax yet, I'll be using CPE and Purigen in the racks so possibly bio-pellets.

Some remaining hardware:
- MP10
- Maxspec Razor 420R
- RKE
- jäger 100w heater
- about 30lbs cured live rock(15 from my tanks, 10-15 from a friend)
- 20lbs CaribSea Arag-Alive Bahamas Oolite sand

Here are a few unpacking pics.

The stand top is finished, 6 layers of spray paint plus a final coat of protectant.
Disassembled the stand and clamped the 2 tops together, length was was perfect and it over hung by 1 and 1/8" front and back. I used 5 of the 3/4" wood screws from underneath the original top, 1 dead center plus 1 3 inches in from each corner.
Reassembled the stand placed the tank on top, perfect fit with 1" or so extra on each side and about 1/8 front and back.

You can't tell the difference unless you get under it and look up.

Hung the light so it was dead center of the display.

I have to say the coverage with the 90 degree optics is pretty good, I ordered the 120's last night.

And finally she's wet

In total I put 26 gallons in and could probably fit at least another gallon as I have the pump chamber filled less than half way.

My RODI failed after 5 gallons and I ended up using Distilled for the rest.

I'll also be using the innovative marine Skimmer.

Not a huge fan of the inability to edit the posts, so many typos from using my iPhone to post this.

A couple pics of the rocks, I'm loving the big center piece, it has a hole in the top right that goes all the way through, I'll try to snap a few more detailed pics.
I've still got the 10-15lbs from my other tanks to add.

When I had this exact setup I used the 120 optics and the coverage was night and day. You will not be disappointed in it. No longer have the light or tank but it was nice while I had it

Received them today, installation was super easy.
And the difference is indeed noticeable much better coverage.

The reactor is very nice, super easy to setup and install.
I'm currently running biopellets.

Time for a update.
I picked up new test kits the Elos phosphate and DKH kits to replace my old po4 kit I lost the bottle for and I never had a DKH besides strips.
I've noticed my zoas on my corner frag racks are stretching for light so I've decided to upgrade my 20" razor to the 27" version.

Other than that I haven't made any changes to the hardware besides putting a AquaEuroUSA Mighty Pro CL-85 Aquarium Chiller inline for the summer.

As for live stock I picked up 2 nice purple gorgonians and places them in the back on each side of the live rock, they where a steal at 15.00 each and I just couldn't pass on them. One was sticking out the top of the water a good 6" and I just cut it about 2" below the water level and glued it to a frag plug it's been open and happy ever since.
I've also added 4 nice big "Green Dream" Grandis Palys and a colony of blue hornets.

Finally I picked up a Helfrichi Firefish that I traded some red hornets and rastas for.

And now for some eye candy!!

So here is my updated stocking list, and input would be helpful.
I am not planning to add anymore inverts except maybe a conch and CUC as needed.

Current fish:

Black Ice Clown
SixLine Wrasse
Helfrichi Firefish

Fish I'm considering:

Starry Blenny
Flameback Angelfish
Midnight Ocellaris Clownfish(hopefully it pairs up)
Gold Assessor Basslet
Yellow Stripe Clingfish

So would this be to many fish/overstocked for a 30L if I picked them all up?
Maybe cut the midnight as it may not pair up, I know the helfrichi and clingfish have super small bioloads as they don't get bigger than 2", everything else is 3" except the blenny, maybe cut it down to 6 fish?
