Welcome~!

I think its a great start. no bad algae, and those live rock portions are aged for sure and will slowly transmit everything they have to the other rocks, the base rock.

the main biosystem filter comes off those aged rocks, this looks like a great clean start. its nice you dont have fish yet, not ready. regarding the coral that came in on those live rocks, its fine and can be kept alive easily. do large water changes for a while, pre emptively, before test kits register anything.

your post and pics are helpful to others because what we have here is a blended cycle. you actually dont add a shrimp, or spike the ammonia, because you have life you want to preserve on the purple rocks.

in this case, the bacteria and a food source have been seeded and will take over that base rock in time. maybe every once in a while squirt that little coral some spot feed (whatever you have planned to feed the corals) or by the time you input some fish that w give the hitchiker coral some indirect nutrient support.

either way a neat detail for your tank is its mostly uncycled rock, but since you have live targets you wont actually spike the ammonia, just let things run course

Love yours! Mine is smaller than yours; it is a 5-gallon but plenty for me to learn on. I'm sure we will both move on to a bigger one soon. Have fun!

Good looking tanks! Love my 10g Nano as well. Have mine with 10lbs live rock. Few zoas and Hob fluval filter. for mechanical and biological filters. And I run chemi pure elite carbon in it. Works good.

Nice! I'm from Nicaragua. Maybe one day when I retire and go back home, I will set up a nano reef tank over there!
