Do you think with the rock being outside the water and having water run from the top, that your going to encounter an algae problem...or random salt buildup on the rocks outside?....The tank does look sweet(I have a 20L myself) and ready to see it up and going

I do think there will be algae on the rocks outside the water that will build up (cause it kind of is a algae scrubber) which I will remove if it gets to bad but I'm looking for some to grow to give it a more natural look. I'm thinking of adding some mangroves in the future. Most likely some salt creep will accrue, so we will see how that goes. Also keeping the salinity right is going to be a challenge. Because water will evaporate at a higher rate and some water will splash out at times so adding tipoff water will have to be fresh and salt to keep that in check. This tank will take good husbandry to make work.

Some more details on the equipment, kept it very simple.

Standard 20 gallon long

+/- 50-60 lbs of rock. Most of all the rock is live from my 220 I broke down.

20lbs on Bahamas pink shel sand

Hang on the back filter and a cheep powerhead

Going to run a reef bright XHO all blue.

This tank will be mostly all Yuma's, recordias and mushrooms with a few other soft corals.

Only two fish will go in the tank that came from my 220. A Orbic Cardinal and a PJ Cardinal.
