light timing, timers and power strip biocube 29

hey so i seen a few powerstrips that have two timers built in,i thinks its a corallife one..but i have read some bad reviews on them should i get a power strip with a surge protector? and just the cheap timers from lowes? also i have seen things about having the powerhead on a timer as well..or should it be on all the time? sorry im new to this and have tons of questions lol..im planning on just having lps, soft corals and one or two fish like a clown... and what should all the timers be set to? for the biocube 29 theres the 2 sets of lights and the blue leds and im going to have a fuge light..how should i set it up...thank you!!

I remember seeing many pictures of those coralife dual timer strips with large charred sections where they have started or tried to start on fire. But on another note, I have seen pics of random generic strips that have charred as well. Personally I would rather stick with a good grounded digital timer than the combo timer/strip.

I used a timer strip on my old bearded dragon cage but that was for night/day timing. I think it was coralife and it didn't start on fire...

Might think about a reefkeeper. By the time you by a few timers you are half way to the price. Plus it does a lot more. Wave maker ph, temp, ect. I wish I went that route in the beginning.
