This is my first tank ever, started 5/4/14 and I thought I was doing myself a favor getting a small one, I was wrong! While a small tank is rewarding it is also difficult to learn on as every thing happens very fast in such a small space. Got my new light yesterday so I thought if start a tank journal.
Tank:
15 liter aqueon all in one
Stock pump 98gph
Aquaclear 20 hob (converted to fuge) 100gph
At hydra 26 led
Parameters:
8.2 ph
Alk 10dkh
Calc 420ppm
Salinity 1.025
Nitrates 0-0.5 (sometimes 10 with heavy feeding)
Phos .25
I do water changes every other day at 50% and have since stopped testing everything but ph and salinity. With water changes being done so frequently my parameters never change and with supplemented salt it seems there is no reason to supplement at this point. As I said this is tank#1 and I learned pretty **** quick that if you want to keep things alive with 15l of water or less water change big and often, so far so good =)
Livestock:
2 margarita snails
2 blue hermits
A few types bristle worms
Tiny brittle star
Rock boring urchin
Nassarius snail
Emerald crab
Skunk cleaner
Corals:
Frog spawn
Blasto welsi
Assorted zoas
Mushrooms red and blue
Ricordea florida
Green star polyps
2 small Duncan heads
I target feed with reef roids just before each water change and frozen silver sides for the boys.
Going to change my scape next and glue everything down
