guys, would the extension tubes help in a situation like this?

I love the 100mm lens. The only issue that I see with me using it is that it might be too much of a macro for what I need it for. A 60mm me do better for me? Since I take top down photos the tripod has to be really high to get the complete coral in the picture. the 100mm is very intense.....

no, youre fine, get a topdown box from melevsreef.com.

Then use one of your regular lenses in the top down box if the macro is too much.

Trust me, you will get the hang of its strengths and weaknesses.

No rush Jr lol. From my experience, Unsharpen seems to make the images more "grained" for some reason. Maybe I'm typing in the wrong #s.

no, you actually have to get closer with one of those...oddly enough.

Its more of post production, and brighter lighting, and, and, and.

I havent done it in a while.

worse case, i bring by my 150mm macro.

I have elements 5 I believe and a Nikon D40X. Every time I try to open a raw image file all I see is a bunch of programmers gibberish where the picture should be. I don't even see the adjustment controls. WTF is going on here. Please help me, I'm running out of hair to pull out.

try uninstalling and reinstalling the software, and then go to adobes website and download the latest version of camera raw.

    its free

try that, and let me know.

CS2 will not open RAW files from current DSLR's, if it did, you wouldn't buy a new version.

So CS3or CS4? I might as well as get Photoshop Elements, it's cheaper.
