Quick/Fast Nikon Zoom Lens for fish photos

so my stock lens is too slow at capturing fish and its a pain to lug around my macro or keep swapping lenses

can you all recommend a great lens that compares to the crisp fast fish photos i get with my 105mm?

I use a Nikon D300 and a Sigma 70-200 2.8 for fish pics. but I also use two overhead flashes to freeze the moving fish.
