Welcome to the Reef2Reef Photo of the Month Contest Sponsored by Avast Marine!

This month's subject is: Gobiidae (gobies)



Submission deadline is 12:01 am Central time, November 23, 2014

Please read the following rules to avoid disqualification.

--Broken links, multiple entries, off subject photos or submissions after the deadline will be disqualified for voting. (If an error is made in your entry please contact a moderator to edit before posting another pic. Ineligible photos will be removed without notice).

--The photo must be of your reef, shot by you, and posted to the threads by you. Will also accept actual reef photos shot by you (i.e. in the ocean)

--Photo must not have been a winner in a previous POTM contest.

--Entrants who create multiple accounts to vote will be disqualified.

--In order to qualify to win the Avast Marine Porthole you must like the Avast FB Page here.


Winner will be determined by Reef2Reef Member voting by poll which will be up after the submission period. In case of a tie, the Mod Team will assist in picking a winner. Rules, deadlines and terms are subject to change at staff discretion at anytime.


The winner will receive The POTM Winner Logo, a year's free premium membership, and an Avast Marine Porthole courtesy of Avast Marine!:)

WOW! there are some great shots here already. The pic below is of my Hawaiian Halfspotted Goby that I Tide Pool collected on Oahu near Honolulu back in September of 2011. He is fairly secretive but will always come out to see if maybe... just maybe it's feeding time. Recently, as in last June collected a pair of Hawaiian Cloudy Gobies Hazeus nephodes that interact with him well. Love having fish in my Reeftank that are not always so noticeable and like a surprise to discover for guests.
