Our Fiji rock is harvested from an exclusive collection site. Half of each 4000lb container is dedicated to Premium Aquatics, the other half goes to a wholesale-only re-seller... That means we get an undisturbed ton of fresh rock from each shipment - it has not been sorted, or had the best pieces cherry-picked by vendors on the coast. This rock spends only about 48 hours in transit before being loaded into our curing pool, and the short trip prevents much die-off. The shapes are fantastic, as this video will demonstrate. We had 3 random pieces pulled from the pool to show everyone what REAL Fiji rock should look like.

I purchased 45lbs of Fiji from PA and I was a little skeptical at first because of the quality I've seen at my local fish store with fiji...but I talked with Liz (I was actually looking for manado for weeks when she suggested the fiji) so I and told her what I was looking for she sent me pictures before I bought ...I had it flown in to BWI and drove down from Lancaster Pa. All I have to say is WOW....AND I MEAN WOW... When I got home and opened the package I couldn't believe the color and the thick coralline algae the pictures didn't do the rock justice...Premium Aquatics rocks!!!! DO NOT HESITATE TO BUY LIVE ROCK FROM THEM!!! Thanks Liz,Liz, and Jeremy!!! I'll post some pics of the live rock in my tank and of the shipment they sent.

This is great rock. I ordered a 50 lbs several weeks ago to see what it was like. Liked the selection of sizes and shapes so much I turned around and bought another 100 lbs the following week.. I will be ordering more in the near future. Best live rock I have found!

I'm looking for a piece or two with heavy coraline algae to seed my tank, anything nice with pink and purple coraline algae?

Rob&Gab: The rock is rather light. The three pieces in the video weigh approx 10 lbs total.

Polyp Addict: Yes, the rock shows some pink and/or purple coralline, as well as light green and medium green encrusting algae. It is fully seeded with coralline as well, so once it's under the more intense lighting of your reef it completely colors up quickly.
