Hi,
I recently joined reef2reef, and this is my first thread here.....
I run a SPS reef tank in my house.

Just wondering what the big guys do? and what devices they use?

CUNAReefer, what brands / models are they using?

Hi Polywise,

Provided some links below. I use the 6x24 GEO Calcium Reactor with a Reef Fanatic Regulator and a 20 lbs. CO2 containter. Keep my Reactor Ph at 6.50.

Does the calcium reactor not keep up with the calcium on its own?

Hi Brett,

I use the Ca Reactor primarily for stable alk. The media does provide stable calcium levels, but it is always on the low side (380) for me. I am running full zeo again, so I want to add more calcium without adding more alk. Right now my alk is ~6-6.2.

Happy New Year!
James

Ahhhh, that makes sense, you run the CR on the low side and then just bump the calcium. Happy new year James!

I know of several aquaculture facilities and two wholesalers that maintain their systems with 2-part on dosing pumps. In short they do it the same as on smaller systems, just in bigger ways :)

How large (water volume) can a CARX's go up to before, which at some point, they become cost prohibitive?

I'd be interested in seeing some pictures or video of the systems that posters have been describing...
