I have some blue clove polyps that are covering rock fast! I was wondering if any of you have the same problem if it really is a problem.

It is beautiful trust me, but I am just scared it might take over.

Rev, I have them too, they spread like wildfire and you are right they are beautiful and the one thing I have noticed is they don't win a lot of wars, seems like most of my corals keep them at bay pretty easily....are these the ones your talking about?

Yes those are the ones. :D

I mean they don't hurt any thing so far, but I am wondering if my sps will kill them off as they spread. I can't tell right now if this is happening. I have some polyps surrounding a few frags.

it seems that sps will zap them no problem, as the base of the sps grows the polyps will more than likely not put up a fight what-so-ever and the sps will do whatever it wants...I know the blue polyps don't sting so they don't have a chance against anykind of stinging corals/chemical warfare

I've found the same thing If they get too close to anything they don't have a chance. I just had my new dendro kill 4 well covered tiles I had a little too close to it. I have found nothing that cant kill them.

Good to know I will keep them away from my palys and zoas.
But I think I may have a PD frag or two with them on it. I've not noticed them bothering the PD but I will take a closer look.

Mine proved they will grow on the sand so just wait! :)

Also it seemed like they were actually growing ON the paly skin so to speak that was spreading across the plug.

these lil blue polyps pop up all over the place in my tank, I think they are harmless, although I don't have palys or zoa's to worry about either. They definitely spread but like Rev stated before they are beautiful, I'll see how out of hand they actually become, they have been in my tank well over a year at this point

I've had them and they did spread very fast. However one day I just saw them all start dying off. Within 3 days completely gone. A month later they reappeared and them vanished again for good.I could never figure it out
