Hey Melev, I bet your sump is weak sauce.

-Says the guy that "liberated" Melev's idea from model J

My sump has been going since Feb 2011. Here's a view of the refugium zone.

Glad to see you on here Marc. I have been following your tanks for a long time now, your website and podcasts have been a great resource for me and my hobby experience.

Sure wish you had the time to do more podcasts! :)

Thanks for the reply! I thought you might say that

Unfortunately no one in Australia carries that brand and I am left with Caribsea or Seachem!

I will have 2 Mp 40's in the tank, so lots of flow coming my way too.

The podcasts were a serious labor of love, and took a lot of time in post-production. I've had some alternative ideas in mind, but nothing official at this point.

I'm in the process of setting up a 130g and I am loving your anti-siphon solution. I just need to figure out how to implement it on my set up. You always have such cool ideas!

How about converting the podcasts so that they can be viewed on youtube? I'd like to see them, but I can't.

Now that's a tank. Looks great. I didn't know Halides could make a tank pop with so much color. :)

Marc, I have a question. I noticed you had made a stand for a frag tank out of EzTube. I thought I read somewhere that you didn't find it that sturdy and had to brace it. Did that work out for your frag tank? I was considering using the EzTube to make a simple stand to support a 37 gallon refugium behind my tank and I am wondering if that would have the structual strength to support 300+ pounds. I also wanted to make it high enough to slide my 29 gallon top off reseroir underneath it. Thanks.

My frag tank is 10g and sits on the eletrical center made with Ez-tube. The 40g breeder setup I gave away at MACNA was made with Ez-Tube and was solid. The 60g went on Ez-tube but it felt kind of shaky and I reinforced it with wood on two sides. I'll reinforce the third side with the Cherry wood look the entire area will be wrapped with. I think the 60g exceeded the strength of the steel and plastic connections. Your 29g should be fine, I would think.
