old tunze.jpg

Tunze 6100 finally died after over 12 years of constant running without fail, weve still got one more hanging on in there.
Hows that for quality equipment

I haven't even been in the hobby that long. My canister filter is 5 years old. It was one of my first pieces of equipment.

My old school koralia 4s are about 6 years old running non stop. I've trashed several new style Koralia evolutions in the meantime.

Yep just lost one of my 6100's, was probably the same age as the OP since I bought it used.

My tank itself and the UG filter were bought in 1978. I don't know how old my pumps are but they are made out of wood and leather and the directions which are hand printed on parchment paper read to keep in a cool chariot away from Dodo birds.
My oldest heaters run by steam and need a chunk of charcoal added each morning.

My pumps are just getting warmed up at 20 years. :becky:

Sad day, lost one of my tunze 6100's last night. Not sure what happened but it is no longer running and the driver just sounds an annoying alarm. It has been running non stop from 40to80% ramping since 2005

I guess compared to Paul B's it's just a puppy, but my 75g tank is 18 years old.

I have an Oceanic protein skimmer like this one, that I bought in maybe 1992?
