A new trochus snail got too close to red bubble tip anemone. The nem killed it and has not been the same since. I have a feeling the nem is going to die. Is this common?

Water parameters are ok. Alk is a little higher than norm but not by much.

I don't have a QT tank. Those pics are right before the snail was attacked. It attached two long stands to its soft body and pulled it in. Never saw anything like it before. The new looked worse this am. The nem totally engulfed the snail.

It could be coincidence but the purple tip came up next to the red bulb. Could be a battle the red bulb lost?

The nem was hungry, how often and what do you feed it?

Thanks. I just fed it and it took the food. Hopefully it rebounds. I was hoping it would split! Not kick the bucket.

From bad to worse. The speed in which this nem has declined Is epic. Everything else in the tank is thriving

I would highly suggest that you do not feed it anymore - zip, zero - that is taxing it more

i wouldnt personally give up on it .Ive seen worse survive . BUt to get the nem off the rock you can hold it upside down in the tank and after a few minutes they fall off . Id lower the lights and giev it time if i was you. The mouth isn't gapping open guts not coming out . That is when I would panic and remove.
