Try an algae scrubber, if you cant seem to keep it out of your system. Youll allow it to grow in an area where A) it will flourish without being unsightly and B) itll actually work for you, scrubbing the water column (literally eating nitrates and phosphates) then when you clean the scrubber, you'll take out those nutrients

Do you use gfo or any other phosphate reducing media? What is your mag levels?
Some will run higher mag...1400-1500 to help with algae.

Try siphoning out to get as much out as possible. Use filter sock to trap algae to not waste your water

Algae scrubber is a grear tool. I use one

Giant skimmer
algae turf scrubber
But for the most part, your system has to much Phosphates, and sometimes a bit high on the Nitrates will boost the issue some.
Test your phosphtes, see where your sitting at, then go with GFO or a dose a Lanthanum product.
