I'm on my way to having everything I need to start cycling my water. I have a question about the rodi system. I'm buying the rodi system this week. Once I get it can I start making my filtered water and leave it in the brute can until I get all the equipment and rock and sand to start cycling ?

I'm not sure how many gallons my brute can is but I think I'll have to fill it up more than once. Can I mix the salt when all the water is in my tank instead of filling the salt more than once every time I fill the Brute?

With the new rodi I think they recommend taking all media out of all the chambers except the first and run it for a few minutes, then install the next and do the same until get the last one in. This is supposed to flush out all the sediment in filters and stuff. As for the salt after the water that is fine unless you are using live rock. I use dry rock so I can take my time and scape the tank the way I want it first. I went live once and I really like the dry rock better.
