I'm making a new sump out of a 40 breeder and I'm trying to figure out what's the best baffle layout. Not sure what I want to do for heigth and spacing. If it helps I have Sro3000 reef octopus for a skimmer. I'm liking the layout where the return is in the middle with the fuge on the right side and the skimmer on the left. If you have any pictures of a current sump you have or a design it is much appreciated if you would share them with me

Here are pictures of the LifeReef sump I had on my old 40 gallon breeder...just a large skimmer with refugium. These don't show the media cylinders that were later added in the center slots.

Here is my 40B sump:

On the left is a sock (behind the skimmer), and the skimmer. On the right is the refugium. In the middle is the return section with a biopellet reactor and an MJ1200 to feed the GFO/Carbon reactors. You will note that there are no bubble trap baffles. They weren't needed. And this sump is for a 90DT.

If I ever do build another sump it will be like the above. With drains coming in from both sides and return in the middle.
But here is mine. I just made the skimmer section a little bigger than the skimmer and the return section a little bigger than the intended pump. The leftover space was the fuge.
