+1 on looking into aquamaxx. I was going to get a reef octopus and after doing some research i decided to go with the Aquamaxx Cones co1 for my 75g. I couldn't be happier with my decision small footprint, easy set up, high quality build, and silent operation. Pump on it is high quality sicce.

Not sure the footprint size you have to work with but I went with the spacer saver series from reef octopus and couldn't be more happy. Took a minute to dial in the water level in sump but it is pulling all kinds of stuff out of the water.

I know its not on your list but upgraded to a RLSS R8i and could not be happier. They are very well built and work flawlessly. At least in my experience.

Im using the Vertex Omega 180 and It works very well for me and it is built very well like the wine bottle design.

Definately go with the Reef Octopus. I was lucky enough to find their older model, the Diablo Space Saver, even though they dicontinued it. I love it and it does its job well and silently!!

I have a SRO 5000 Int.
Your skimmer, in my opinion, is the most important piece of equiipment that you have. Buy the best that you can afford and properly size it.
I am happy with my Reef Octopus.

+1 here. Never heard of them until I read Tony Vargas' build thread here. Bought one and I am very happy with it. Really glad I ran across that thread.
