Today was a Good News -Bad News kind of Saturday

My Shades of Fall chalice frag fell behind some rockwork about 6 month ago. To tell the truth, there's so much stuff in my tank, I didn't even miss it for weeks. I didn't bother looking cause I was sure it was dead. Today I'm messing around in the tank and find it...it lost it's bright eyes, but other than that it's doing fine and I'm sure it will color back up. I put it on the bottom slightly under an overhang so I don't burn it up...That's the good news.



The bad news is that while mucking around in the tank, I took my frag rack out for a couple of minutes ( always ends up being more than a couple but no harm to the corals)...I heard something hit the floor and when I looked I saw a lone hermit crab lying there. I picked it up and chucked it back into the tank without a thought. When I was done, I go to get the frag rack and notice my favorite fish...a tiny, black and blue striped clown goby lying on the floor. He must have been hidden in one of the frags and I didn't notice...I felt just terrible...I really loved the little guy. Oh why, Oh why didn't I look a little closer...I sure do miss little "Midnight".

NO, that's the worst part of the whole thing...I have looked and looked and have never seen another goby quite like this one. The stripes were thin, but very nice blue color and he was very black so in the right light and under actinics, it really stood out.
