Its tough like I said...I have a hard time with alot of SPS. The only ones I can really grow well are encrusting Monti's. I do have some Tri color, and finally my Pink Lemonade has really taken off. But things like my Aqua Delight, and 20,000 Lokani havent done much of anything.
I love my chalices, and was a big Acan lover, but I sold most of the Acans off
I like the mixed bag, but it's very hard to keep everyone happy in a shallow system IMO/IME. The LPS/Palys are thrilled in lower light conditions, but the SPS pitch a fit... then you up the lighting, and the SPS looks great... but now some of the LPS and Palys are whining. LOL
Like I said... I like the mixed bag... if you can pull it off well.
SPS is the way to go, with some really nice lps and palys thrown in for the fun of it. You could give me every paly and chalice in the world without sps my tank wont have water in it.
I'm not a big fan of the sticks. I like a few SPS like the monti's and have seen some nice SPS tanks but it's never been my cup of tea.
I like the mixed or even just softies and LPS.
I voted mixed, but my main tank is sps only just because my emperor angel will nip at the zoas and lps I'd like to have in there. I love sps, acans, favias and some zoas. Chalices are OK too. I don't really care for the softies other than zoas or hammers, frogspawn type lps.
