How often do you put your hands in your tank?

Well I left on vacation on Jan 25th and that was the last time there were any hands in my tank. (14G BioCube) Just topped off with RO/DI, no water changes either.

So about 3 weeks now. Things are looking fabulous, all the corals are looking fantastic. Nice and puffy and.

Also, I shut off the second powerhead because it's on suction cups and didn't want it to fall and create problems.


Just wondering how often some of you put your hands in your tank. I know a lot of people do all their tank maint without putting their hands it, but I am usually always figiding with something in there.

The glass is pretty filthy, I'll try to get some top down shots later before I do a water change.

I probably put them in there to much.....I don't do unless I have to though like moving frags are fragging stuff other wise I do alot of stuff with a turkey baster and the fork end of my scraper....

My hands are in my tank everyday. I'm still not able to work so I get bored. I clean the glass, scrape the the back glass and overflow and take a bunch of pics. I'm definitely in there to much but I have nothing else to do.

I voted for 3 times a week, but I am getting closer to 1 time a week. Mainly to flip over frags or snails.

not everyday, but quite a bit. I should keep them out, but I got lots of stuff in there and something always need to be fixed.

I need to find a little pincher arm type thing to flip things over in my tank. it's pretty packed with frags so they are always getting flipped over by the two giant crabs I have in there.

I have the same problem. I always have frags flipped over in the morning.

same here, every day i'm home. Thats the thing i hate about hermits and small frags. I could not tell you the little frags and polyps that are in my rock work lost

Im in there 4-5 times a week. So I voted for everyday. I try to wait until the weekend and do ita all at once.

why is your stuff flipped over?

can you add a piece of rigid air line tubing to stablize them

my hands are alwyas in the tank keeping corals from stinging each other glad to see another frag swap to unload the growth of my sps

LOL, the real answer is, "Whenever I feel like it", which is likely everyday.
