Opinion of Value of this 120G SPS/Mixed Reef

    Hello Y'all,

Need your opinion of my 120G that I sadly need to sell rather quickly. I've had some health issues that have been taking up a lot of my time and my wife and I will be moving soon. Therefore I need to sell this tank and I don't have the time to part every little thing out and frag each of of these colonies down. I'm not trying to get rich...being very realistic about the economy...time is of the essence for my situation.

Your opinions of the overall value (rough range) would be greatly appreciated. I will be selling everything you see in the video except for the Vortechs. Lots of ORA, Reef Empire, Austin Aqua Farms, Rocky Mountain Frags, Pro Corals, etc. SPS, Acans, Clams, Wellsos, Zoas, etc. It has grown out quite a bit more since this video was shot.

I'd say if you could find another Reefer in your area that want's to up-grade, then your half way there. I would price everything out new and cut that in half and leave some headroom for moving time and cost's. In my area people are selling things for a third of new. Good luck.

Thanks, I think a lot of the value in this tank is in the SPS corals. That's what I'm mainly looking to you guys for. Anyone else?

I see two larger Derasa clams, they look to be between 6 to 8"? I would say anywhere from $80 to $120 on them.

Those corals will be worth something. Reasonable people will buy them they look nice. Frag them into frag packs (make sure there is interest beforehand) or sell them as colonies.. But you have to understand you will not get what you ask for.. You can also post online and sell the frags as packs.. Better bang for your buck that way.

    Good luck.

Understood about fragging everything out and parting out to get best bang for buck, but that's not my goal. As stated in my OP, I have been very tied down with health issues (had multiple surgeries, etc) and don't have the time to be arranging meetings for tons of people to come by for individual parts, frags, etc. My goal is to put this entire baby out there and try to sell it as a whole. I know that this whittle's down the group of potential buyers in a big way, but it's all about timing for me right now. I've had several inquiries from local reefers about the price for the entire system "AS-IS", but I don't even know a ballpark on what to quote them. That's where I need my R2R buddies to help and throw out a couple numbers...Is it $2500? $3000? More? Am I smoking crack? LOL. Any thoughts appreciated.

You've got some nice SPS colonies and with some of the equipment I dont think $2,000-$2,500 is unreasonable especially if it includes entire system and livestock.

It hard to sell fully stocked tanks. Everyone wants to sell them! It's almost better to part them out,The process takes longer but I think you"ll get more money that way. You have alot of nice pieces. I would say you have atleast 2500 livestock.

your tank is beautiful If it were me I would just ask what you feel it is worth & gauge interest if everyone is offering way below what you are comfortable then you might have to part out. hope things work out for you
