I believe you can but certain colors won't show up as well. I think most serious acropora growers stick with halides. All the serious collectors I buy from use halides as well.

Wow well done!

Thanks! I can't believe people still doubt leds. I think some that get more growth but less color are using too high powered leds or too focused optics. My leds are 1 watt each with no lenses. I can grow acros and clams on the bottom of my 75 with great color. Water quality is my biggest issue, not lighting.

Are you running two fixtures?

Yes.

Yes.

I'm still not 100% that LED's are the answer but your tank is proof that they are!

Good Comparison Site on LEDs vs. metal H.?

Considering changing my current Metal H. setup for LEDs. Forgive me for not being up to date with the latest LED lingo but is there a good site that would have some kind of review or comparison of good lamps vs. Metal H.? Like what are the good brands and types?

Part of my wanting to go to LED is to drop my electric bill!

Thanks,
Santiago Perez

I had been using ecoxotic panorama pro LEDs and was able to grow montis like crazy but sticks were a no go

That was on a 40 breeder with 4 ecoxotic pros. H

However, once I started a 75 gal with this new lumentek pro 240 (running at 40% white 60% blue max) - I have seen terrible declines in PE, color (mostly bleaching), and barely any growth. That even goes for acans and leathers.
