I tested my ph tonight and its high at 8.4. Maybe it's not dangerous but it's higher than usual. So I just unhooked co2 scrubber and my tank will not be dosed with limewater tonight. At what point would I attempt addition of vinegar? Is it critte to get it down NOW?

My tank regularly ran to pH 8.55 for years with no issues. Unless you are using limewater, or other high pH additives, pH will never get high enough to warrant action, which is above pH 8.6 (IMO).
