Luke, I think you'd better make sure you have more of these in stock! I've heard from 3 other people, including a close friend, who plan on buying the SWC MiniHOT!! In fact, Angie and I are probably going to be ordering another, very soon, to go on her Aquapod 24, which we may upgrade to a cube. It'll work great on the cube too! I'm putting my friend in contact with you, since his wife has given him permission to order one, next week!

Glad to hear you're ordering more! I'll send customers your way, as often as I can!! I LOVE this skimmer. Just emptied a half cup of NASTY, SMELLY, BLACK CRUD!! Next time, I'll take some pics first. After emptying it, I moved it from the front of the tank, to the side, so it's out of the way. Skimmers usually take a week or two to "break in." This thing arrived 3 days ago and is already pulling nasty nog, from a tank that's only been set up for a short time! I can't wait to see what this thing does, when it does finally "break in," and starts really performing! I can't imagine how well our next one will work, when we hang it on Angie's nano, that's been set up for over 2 years, without a skimmer...lol.

"Remove the rubber cap from the nipple. You'll need to fill that chamber with water, to a level ABOVE that nipple and then, QUICKLY put the cap back on the nipple, while the nipple is still submerged."

Not so easy if you have big hands! I was unable to do it fast enough so I cut a small piece of air tubing (about 6 inches) and connected it to the nipple on the skimmer, on the other end I plugged the air tube into a air tube valve. To prime simply poor water (enough to cover the nipple) in the chamber and open the valve to release the air from the pump, then close the valve. It is MUCH easier, especially if your hand does not fit!!!

Still making small adjustments but only had it for 2 days, already getting lots of gunk! I think its gonna be a great little skimmer!

Yes, with anything larger than average sized hands, a modification will be necessary, but it's a simple mod.

Well, mine has been running for 6 months and I'm even more impressed than I was when I first started this thread. As far as I can tell, it's completely silent. As far as pulling GUNK, it's a BEAST! It pulls lots of NASTY, SMELLY, THICK Gunk. It's on a 40 breeder with a very light fish bio-load. However, I do feed the corals, adding to the bio-load. I will be adding to the fish bio-load, in the very near future, with the addition of 2 more fish. I have no concerns, as far as the skimmer goes. I honestly think this skimmer would be just fine, on a moderately stocked 75!

Does this put a lot of micro bubbles into the display?

No, you shouldn't have any micro issue after the first week.

I had no issues with micro bubbles, after the first couple of days, actually. The skimmer does come with a sponge, which I did use to cut down on micro bubbles. 2 or 3 days after setting the skimmer up, I removed the sponge, no micro bubbles. It's ran without the sponge ever since. This beast is completely silent and consistently pulls out nasty gunk, as well as my much larger SWC Cone Skimmer, on my 200! I'm 110% thrilled with this skimmer and I'm considering purchasing a second one, for another tank I'm setting up.

Can you guys take some pictures of the input and output drains of the skimmer. I just bought one and can't wait for it.

I was going to tell you to go look at the photos I posted, when I first received mine, BUT, I looked at them first. I CANNOT believe that, with all the photos I took and the ones I posted, I don't have any photos of the front, showing the inlet and outlet tubes. How did I miss that!? If Luke doesn't beat me to it, I'll get some posted, as soon as possible, though it could be a day or two.
