    LEDS for a 29 gallon biocube.

    (Body of thread);

    Tank Dimensions (in inches) - @29 gallon Biocube

    Height of fixture from the water - in the stock hood if possible

    Primary inhabitants (SPS, LPS, SOFTIE, FOWLR, ETC) - SPS, chalices, and z's n p's

    Current lighting setup Evolution 100w 3g 14k

    Desired Kelvin color balance (18k, 14k, 20k etc) 20k

    Dimmable or non dimmable

    Do you have a controller? (reefkeeper, APEX) NOt yet

    i do not have experience with LEDS or electrical installation at all.

    18-24 LEDs should work great. The 12x8.46 heatsink fits quite well en the biocube hood. for a 20K look I would go with 15-18 Royal Blue and 6-9 Cool White.

    The Inventronics 40 watt driver is dimmable via a pot and can drive up to 15 LEDs.

    If you dont want to solder 3 Blue White Strips with 1 all Blue Strip works great.

    Its all about comfort level. the strips are just twisting the wires together to a driver.

    The solderless you have to strip wire and insert it to each connector and make sure you are getting the polarity correct.

    Aren't the strips alot more money? Is Solderless easy to do.

    Its your choice.

    We really like them. Just use 20 gauge solid wire for best results.

    I would highly recommend using our predrilled heatsinks.
