Just out of curiosity why would you and do you pick the fish up of the water? Is this not bad for the fish removing its slime coat?

I am interested in a pair. I have a few questions.

What sizes are available?
Do you run copper in your tanks (parasites)?
How long have you had the ones you end up mentioning to me?
Is the pair simply a single male and single female or are they a bonded pair?
Thanks.
