I've had this coral for over 8 months and it has looked great and been very healthy. 10 days ago it shriveled up and has remained that way to date. I know leathers will do this from time to time, but what is the timeframe? What have you folks experienced with yours? My parameters have remained very stable over time so I don't think that it's a parameter issue and I have not added anything new for some time.

Mine does this, usually only for about 4-5 days though. Do you see a coating over the head portion of it? He may just be shedding and taking his time with it.

Yours looks as if its losing color also, from that shot. Does it appear to be dissolving in that area at all?

It's a toadstool that is doing quite well; it's tripled in size in 8 months but does not always stand straight up.

The devil's hand did start to dissolve at the base so I have removed it:(
