Looking for a 40 gallon or larger cube or corner reef ready aquarium. I am currently stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC and can travel up to 250 miles if the deal is good enough. I have a sweet Cardiff 29 gallon reef going. Want to increase volume. Not looking to trade, I just want to purchase a new tank. Thanks in advance for your time

Thanks TigerDragon. My wife is now equally interested in reef aquariums. I have a super nice 125 and 300 sitting empty, but from what can gather between the LFS and reading in the posts... The cubes and corner aquariums look beautiful and appear to have better control of the water flow. Besides, I don't think I can afford the lighting I would need to get my 300RR going as a reef tank. For now, it sits in the garage. Thinking of trading it in for a smaller (150RR) shallow tank so I can get a nice frag tank going.

Keep the 29 going for now and set the 300 up as a fowlr :) that way you don't have to worry about lighting until you have the money spare!

Tiger,
There are cheap LEDs that can support reef lighting requirements for a 300g that's 96" long and 30" deep? I have not found any yet. Do you have any specific recommendations?

Thanks
James

James. You have lots of lighting options on the cheap. I know the reef radiance fixtures can penetrate. So it's not just things like the radios that will hit there.

Gents,
Appreciate the support. Think I will be looking to trade my full up 300RR acrylic aquarium for a smaller, possibly 200RR aquarium to better fit my house. As you can see the 300 sits in the garage primarily because I don't have 8ft of spare wall space. May shift to a 150 with better filtration and lighting. Not positive yet, but it's a strong consideration. Besides, I still have an empty 125 needing attention that is sitting in my entranceway. Couldn't fill it because we were adding new trim to the front door and walls. Entranceway is finished now.

Thanks again
James

Nice! Just a thought, you should add one of those rubber door stoppers to the bottom of the stand. You don't want the door blowing open in the wind or whatever and cracking the glass or damaging the stand.

Tyler Sir,
Good call. I do need to purchase one to protect my tank. What you may not have noticed, that's my helmet from work sitting on top of the canopy. I have it on the floor to protect the tank for now. Picked it up for the first picture. It's protecting my tank when I'm not using it to jump out of a plane!

I did see that, but being on my phone I couldn't quite make out what it was lol.
Sounds intense!
