This week I want to spotlight the pinwheels. Very cool green skirts with white marks in the center. Anywhere I put them in my tank they do well. Please share your pictures and experience with this amazing polyps.

By chance are these pinwheels? I have been told they could be.

Sorry for the id hijack but if they are they grow like weeds and bring great color in.

Jake can you do me a favor and look at the picture on top and compare colors to determine if they're pinwheels?

Wow your very helpful. Thank you. I was just asking that question because you get a few different color combos or morphs of the same coral. Just like people eaters. I have giving frags to someone and go check them out 2 months later and look totally different in there tank.

Those are Pinwheels but if you ask certain other people they call them Daisy Cutters and charge up to $40-$60 pp....lol

Got these as Daisy Cutters, but obviously they are pinwheels

I don't think that Josh was being unhelpful.

Usually people show their Pics in all Blue LED.

You are using some other type of lighting or not all blue LED.

So it is very tough for others to tell.

Best thing to do is to look at your Coral under all Blue LED and see if it is the Same.

Or take a pic under all Blue LED and post it here.

That makes it much easier if everyone is on the same page.

I just didn't know if you were looking at the original pic because clearly it's not the same coral. Can you see the orange center? Can you see the green skirt? If something morphs there's usually a different name for it.

I have the Pin Wheel as well and can say, there are different once on the marked. Mine are like the first picture here. You must know, this is a dangerous little zoa, grows and out grows other colonies and restricts other colonies to grow also attacks SPS base.

Im here in UAE and the are here in this size frag for around 30$ for sale here. Depend on the availability in your area. The are nice but not that special coz of there rapid grow. But for me, a must for a zoa collector.
