Being a new tank. I imagine that I do not have much nutrients for them. Is there any thing I can do to help get the color back?

Check your Alk, Mg, and Ca and dose if needed. Other than that, giving them good light should be enough. I never spot feed my zoanthids and they are reproducing like crazy. Good luck!!

Look like palys to me. They are bleached. Be careful as they can be toxic when harmed or stressed. They should color back up with light.

If its new tank the salt mix should give the water what it needs to start. Being they were free I wouldn't worry. May be a coral you don't want once they color up. Thats the only problem I see. They should help start the waste cycle. I wouldn't worry until you decide if you want them in there. :)

My LFS gets aquacultured rock from Florida, almost all rocks have some sort of coral, I forgot to mention the huge cluster of cup coral and hidden cup corals lol. If you're willing to make the drive down to Maryland, I think you will love the rock, full of crabs, urchins, clams, corals... Thats why it's $15-18 per pound [emoji389][emoji389]

Yep! The one time I get their cheaper Fiji rock I end up with hydroids and some freaky 7+" hydroid alien thing. Oh, and a whelk or three...

up here in New Hampshire lr is pretty boring most of the time. Unless it comes from a local tank breakdown. I'm guessing shipping to this climate does not hold up well. Kind of stinks you are lucky to get good Coraline.

I only bought maybe 10-15 pounds because honestly, it was so alive it seeded my entire tank and got my dry rock going. Plus they give $1 off per pound if you buy so much, a military discount, and a $5 coupon (;

Most of the LFS around here only have boring Fiji or man made rock, even That Fish Place in PA, which is the biggest pet store in the world. This is the only LFS I have found that has cool stuff. I really want to get one of the sea squirts they have in with the LR...

Have you tried the Hidden Reef or the one around the corner from them I thinks it's called the fish factory?
