60g Cube Rimless Build with Floating Aquascape

So.... I saw the thread on floating aquascape on here..... It got me to thinking how it was done.... Bought a 60g cube with starphire front glass and started to construct rock work (Fiji Totoka)..... This completed pic is the one from the thread on here... I'm going to plumb into my main system, a 125g in-wall..... Tossing up either MH or ATI for lighting.... I'll update on the rock install.... Aiming to have the structure directly in the center

I love this idea. How do you keep the weight of the scape from causing problems on the overflow? ie: being too heavy and stressing the silicone around the overflow that attaches to the back glass?

Whoa! That's awesome.

That appears to be the same SCA cube that I have. My best guess is that the rockwork is attached to some hollow core to reduce weight and then it is cantilevered cleverly inside the overflow.

Wats up Chris, it's Rick..... I'm going to only go thru the overflow, no weight or stress will be put on it....

Easy to drill.... The rods will be in about 4"..... Overflow drilling will be next

Gotta sit it on something, lol.... Gonna skin it with oak face plywood and do a removable magnetic panel
