I find that anemones are one of the least propagated inhabitants out there, but always in demand. How many of you guys have tried this? How fast do they recover in your tank before you can chop them again?

Very cool! I'm setting up a nem propagation tank/reef right now, so this is very helpful info. Looking forward to seeing what will come of it!

What kind of a blade are you using to cut the nem? It didn't look like the blade in the kit.

Good eye. Its not :) Its a really long paint scrapping razor blade from the hardware store. The more you can cut in a single slice without the back and forth cutting the better.

My rainbow Anemone split on its own and now I have two. I would rather have mother nature do its own splitting.

I love how BRS makes these videos to educate others within the hobby and simplify things which can seem overly complex in writing! Keep em coming!

A sharp kitchen knife works just as well if not better since you can make the cut/chop in a single motion instead of trying to slice it with a razor blade. Just my $0.02

Thanks Richie! I'm guessing I should use one that isn't serrated.

I'm going to be the odd man out and step up and say I wish people did not advocate this, most only show us the success of doing this, and not the great many failures.
It's just too easy to induce a split by overfeeding which is much safer.
Yeah, I guess this is faster, but most of us know the saying about rushing things in this hobby.
Sorry, just gotta shed light on possible negative outcome, hate to see people lose something they may be attached to, and I wouldn't do this in display risking fouling your tank.
