I went with the Kole. They don't need the extra large reef that many others do, they are great cleaners, mine is always scraping the glass, the rocks, and the substrate. They are less expensive than most Tangs. They are peaceful for the most part. Love the yellow eye contrasting against the deep puprle body with either stripes or spots, depending where it came from. All around great fish.

Love the tangs. Just need a big tank for most.

Really quite funny how many non fish people ask if you have a poon. As they think there hilarious and the first to think of it.

This was a hard one. I have a Blonde Naso and a Purple tang. A Gem tang would be awesome.
There is just something striking about the markings on an adult Blonde Naso.

Fun thread though still confusing as to the real ? Best or Favorite ? I chose my favorite the Powder Blue though an advanced Tang best suited for larger and or mature systems. Mine was the breaking point from going to an all Hawaiian Fish & Coral (type) Reeftank. Below is a pic of all five Tangs in my collection. The A. blochii was the first fish ever for me to catch while Oahu in September 2010 collecting with my friend Les (Wet Pets Hawaii) Also collected the Naso and at a later date had Les collect and send me the small Yellow and Kole. Most of my fish I caught myself while on that trip. The Blochii was only about 3" and Naso maybe 2" when I introduced them, now 6"+ and 5" respectfully. Was recently in Kauai and swam with a large school of adult Blochii's around 16-18"

My favorite is the Gem tang, but my second favorite is the Scopas. It may seem drab to most, but the closer I look the more I like it. I've never had either, but hope to have a Scopas soon.

I enjoy my Tomini Tang. The color is decent enough and he does a good job grazing all day. But I do love the Chevron Tang (even if their color diminishes as they age), probably will get one of those guy with the next tank. And my favorite is a toss between the Purple Tang and Achilles..which I will most likely never own an Achilles just cause they need special requirements that I don't care to try and provide haha.
