Decided I would share some pics of my new build on here. Tank is still cycling at the moment. Enjoy.

Just zip ties, wishing I had used a bit of cement on some parts but ill just have to be careful when placing corals. Most of the rock was pretty light in weight except for the larger base pieces which hold the shape pretty well.

Ammonia has dropped to .25 from 1.0ppm First sign of Nitrite appeared today at 1ppm. Making some progress, its been a very patient game waiting for the tank to cycle with dry rock and only added bacteria.

Nice tank! How are you liking the Cadlights system so far? My brother in law wants a reef tank and I'm thinking about steering him towards one of these since he's a beginner and it comes mostly complete.

Really liking it. Only thing I would change is id like the plumbing to be hard pvc rather than the odd size tubing that they give you. Id like to be able to put a check valve on the return line in care the power goes out. Other than that the pump you get is good and so is the rest of the equipment and overall look and construction of the tank and stand. I swapped out the skimmer for something i felt was better for my sps system but other than that i kept it pretty simple with what they gave me. The tank also comes with glass tops if you choose to use them which is pretty nice if you have jumping fish and looks better than netting IMO.

Well its been a longtime since an update and heres a good one. First off I wanted to upgrade the system and make it truly SPS dominant. I took out all of the LPS and Zoo's and relocated them to a tank I have in the garage. I added sand which I felt like was driving me insane aesthetically. After that I re designed the aquascape for good flow and to fit all of my SPS and keeping in mind their growth pattern and spacing.

I bought myself an early Xmas present...a Giesemann Spectra. Here a some pics of the light which I added my reefbrite too and some coral shots.
