Hello all,
I finally got enough courage to post pictures of my tank. I see most tanks on here and get very nervous to post. I have a 45 gal JBJ rimless tank. It is a mixed reef tank however i am coo coo for SPS. It is just something about these amazing creatures that draw me towards them. I have recently converted over to full Zeovit. Results are starting show but no where near where i want this tank to go.

I still have the original baskets. Some people hate them but they work for me. My chiller intake and exit are in those slots, so I can't fit the media baskets from intank.

It has been awhile so I wanted to update. I have made some changes in coral placement as growth has been crazy. Tank is dialed in at the moment. I have a rack full of frags due to relocation of a few coral plus I got the pleasure of going to RAP in Orlando.

I'm going to have to move this guy. Don't want him to break or get upset but he is starting to hurt everyone around him off.. Fastest growing, most aggressive coral I have right now. Surprised it is not too much light for him.

After much debate and long nights doing some research. I decided it was time. Time to upgrade my lighting. I was not truly happy with the maxspect razor. It is not a bad light at all! I just happened to grab the 10k spectrum and don't like the white it puts off. I had to turn down the white spectrum in order to find the color balance. Obviously the light was not close to full power when choosing to do so.
But why spend $1000+ on a 24" in t5/led combo fixture when I could do a DYI project.
This started a much longer than originally planned/ expected canopy build with retrofit dimmable t5 with maxspect razor combo project.

I was so excited for this day. Only to find out that the bulbs broke in shipment :(. And worst part the bulbs were then on back order. So the hunt continued to find new bulbs. 3 LFS and 6 bulbs later. ATI blue + is what we went with.

Completely from scratch built canopy. I hung it on the wall using a wall mount for a tv. I wish I took pictures of that build from start to finish.

This is now what the it looks like from underneath.
I will take some more detailed pictures if anyone has any questions. Now both led and t5 are dimmed to simulate sun rise and sun set.
After about 2 month of trial and error... I am glad it done. But turned out better than I thought. And hopefully this leads to some amazing growth and amazing colors!
