Indian Ocean Sailfin Tang, Red Sea Sailfin Tang / Zebrasoma desjardinii
Scientific Name - Zebrasoma desjardinii
Common Name - Indian Ocean Sailfin Tang (Red Sea Sailfin Tang)
Size - 15.7" ( 40 cm)
Min. Aquarium Size - 135 US Gal. ( 511 L)
Foods and Feeding - Varied diet of fresh, frozen, flake fare for marine herbivores, Spirulina, zucchini, broccoli, leaf lettuce, dried seaweed. Feed min. 3 times a day.
Reef Compatibility - Generally safe and desirable if underfed may nip at large polyped stony corals.
Captive Care - Lest aggressive of the family but may show aggression to con specifics, a good fish to control filamentous algae and in some cases individuals will even eat bubble algae. Keep only one per tank unless a very large system is provided.
