Thanks Pedro, I will definitely try your method. Water changes do slow it down and at one point tissue growth returned. But now it's back to receding. I look forward to your links. Don't apologize for the grammar, I understand you just fine. :)

For about a week now snails are dying. Which is terrible as my recent algae problem will get worse without them. Alkalinity demand is dropping even more, starting 4 days ago. Also B-Ionic Alk and Ca additions are now 15ml part 1 and 30ml part 2 see thread. The only thing that hasn't died or not showing tissue loss or vitality issues are my clams, fish, crabs, anemone and star polyps. This morning I even noticed this nasty sea mat I don't like has crashed in spots. Oh and one 7" Acropoa spathulata is ok so far.

Don't know if this has been brought up? What about salt mix... I had a bucket of reef crystals that slightly caked at the bottom of the bucket. Tank was fine usual 10-20% water changes... once I hit that part of the bucket things went south... proceeded with more water changes.... got worse... changed salts.... everything started comming back. If source water is good, nothing additional has been added I'd consider getting a new salt maybe fritZ,AF,or comparable reef salt and try... run plenty of carbon and poly filter.

Hi Steve
Have not you received your Triton test yet?
I think that the decrease in Alk and Calcium consumption should be
The corals losses strange is the snails are dying!
Do you have any shrimp in your tank?
Yes? he is well ??
I use the 2 parts recipe 1 of Mr. Randy Holmes
At this moment I feel that my corals and frags are stabilizing
And today I have committed madness :(
Put
8 new acropras
1 montipora
1 Stilopora Pistillata
After 12 hours the new intrudutions are well and with polyps left
Will be my test the recovery of my frags tank
I leave the links as promised
regards
good luck

Hi Steve
This is the point of my tank situation.
I do not want to induce you to do something that is not your choice
Just report what's happening to me
I'm leaving my reports here
good luck
greetings

Point of the situation 24/2 23,30H
The previous frags are still stable and show improved color
I do not see frags with new bleaching

23/2 I introduced 10 new frags
8 acroporas
1 montipora
1 stilopora pistilatta
My Alk 8.4 (hanna checker)

Point of the situation 36 hours later

The new corals have good colors and with extension of polyps
My Alk lowered to 7.8 (Hanna checker)

Took out a poly filter pad and accidentally forgot to replace it. The next morning several corals coral that had started to heal had reverted. Also one frag had 100% RTN over night. A few weeks before this when I was doing daily WC and all new filter media, it had new polyp on the axial corallite. I'm convinced there is something poisoning the tank. I have three magnetic plug shelves that use Algae Free brand magnets. They are supposed to be safe and I see no evidence of water contact but I'm going to remove them anyway.

Do you know if the Triton Labs test picks up poisons in their final results?

Chloramines,,make sure your filters in your RO/DI are treating the correct water source chemicals..carbon blocks for chlorine are different than ones for chloramines..just thinking out loud

Different, but not typically needed even if you have chloramine. Regular high quality carbon cartridges work fine for most people. It's like driving to work in a Ferrari. Most people have enough time to use a regular car. lol

I show that here:

Copper might do that if there was an ongoing source. Are creatures such as crabs or shrimp suffering?

Following along as I'm having these exact problems, including snails dying but no effects on shrimp and lps.

I'm nearly convinced something is poisoning my tank which effects primarily sps as well.

Here are my Triton test results. The 527mg/L Ca levels are way higher than I measure. I use Seachem Reef Advantage Calcium test. The reference is 403ppm but tested at 370ppm. However if I add 33ppm to my test result I am still 64ppm lower than Triton. Seachem is sending me new reagents. Maybe it's time to switch test kits. Based on my B-Ionic dosing I thought I was having major Ca deficiency. Does anyone use a Ca test kit they know to be highly accurate? So far I have switched salt mix from IO Reef Crystals to Red Sea Coral Pro and just did a 50% WC. I also have taken out GFO. I don't plan to run it anymore unless I see elevated P04. I have no idea if elevated levels of zinc, chromium, and lithium are causing me any issues.
