So I was doing some research and before installing my DC3000 I noticed that there is
Now a new DCT series of pumps. The DC series
Is from 2013 and the DCT is new for 2015. Here
Are the stats I looked at to compare the DC3000 and DC6000 to the new DCT4000 DCT6000 and DCT8000. I read the new DCT models are not Apex controllable?

They are on the reef breeders site so hopefully we can get ahold of our good friend and he can give us some answers.

Here is a chart Made which shows the stats and approximate cost of each pump:

DC series:

DCT series:

For only $10 it would make sense to send back my DC3000 to Amazon and order a DCT-6000 from them, I'm just curious about the APEX controllability.

Cant wait to hear about these I have been using them for about 2 years not sure? in any Case I love the Pump as far as the low heat transfer and the are very quit. Plus they are cheep.. I will caution though I have had a couple just stop working.. Good news is I order through Amazon and had good luck getting a replacement.. I always keep extra Return pumps, cant stand the thought of my return being down for more than an hour or so. I would like to hear what kind of DC pumps others are using and how they like them? I also have the Apex but never really had the need to co=ntroll the return with it other than using the APEX to shut it down for feeding and cleaning and it does not need to be controllable for that.

There is now also a DCS version available. Said to be more quiet and more efficiant with a new improved impeller. DCT-6000 is now DCS-7000. Anyone that got hold of this new version?
