Such is the life of the reef hobbyist right?

I remember when the stuff was actually discounted during a group buy. Lately everything I look at is same as regular price. Especially bulbs. ATI bulbs were a big buy for me. Now no more discount.

To be entirely honest; our previous group buy system had discounts but they were varying, some products had none, some products didn't have very good discounts. That's why we switched to the points because we can give 10x points (which is basically 10% "off") on way more products.

At the end of the day it's a much better deal, and with the lower shipping for group buys, hopefully this makes it easier for people that need to replenish a few items but not necessarily buy $175 worth of stuff.

Makes sense I guess. But I still miss the bulb discount. Guess I'm more of a money in my pocket now vs saving point for later and risking expiration.

The R2R Group buy is always the second Saturday of the month, and the sign up usually cuts off a few days (usually Thursday) before that.
