I have a 40br with a 20h sump. It's all I know so far but I have the reef octopus 110INT and I love it. I'm getting great skimmate and it's pretty quiet too!

if you have a heavy bio- load in the tank I'd suggest a Vertex omega 130... and I mean a super heavy bio load (lots of fish LOL). This skimmers pretty expensive ($320) but well worth it in my opinion. It's very well made and last super long.

If you have a medium to light bio load the reef octopus 110INT as mentioned above would be a good choice.

in sump,i was looking at the reef octopus 110s and vertex but cant decide and its come down to how much noise they make .i also want to purchase the trigger system 26 sump because the sump the tank came with is small (20x14)and wont fit a refugium.

I wish that I kept my old MC500 and they used to sell for $500.
