A couple more things I a have read say that one, there is no cure for Flukes. And two, fish eyes do not have retracting pupils. Therefore any Rapid change of light can send them into systematic shock. These are just two of many studies and am sure there are just as many detractors. Again, hope he is okay and it is something other than flukes.

Can it be lymphocystis? Pretty sure my copperband has it.

Where did you read this?

Can it be lymphocystis? Pretty sure my copperband has it.

If this were Lympho, it would appear as a cauliflower-like growth on the outside of his eyeball. From what I saw in your pic, it looks to be inside the eye.

Pet MD. Fish disease and treatment. I should of mentioned. Eye flukes have no known cure. Flukes on body causing a "cloudy" eye? Prazi or FW dip

I agree with it does look a lot like FLUKES.
1 things about Prarie. is dose as directed and on the seventh day do your water change and and dose again you will need to do this 3 times for a total of 21 days. With no down time in between.
That is as per Shawn at Aquascience Technologies llc
( the manufacturer)I know that is not what the directions on the bottle say but I had a reoccurring fluke issue and called them directly.

I agree this looks like flukes in the eye. A freshwater dip will confirm this and simultaneously rid the fish of a good amount of the flukes which will help when you dose prazi to treat the tank for flukes.

Once flukes are so bad that they are in the eye like that, it's not good. You can turn it around (I've done it multiple times) but you have to treat as quickly as you can manage and the freshwater dip is great to buy you some time to get the prazi.

If this is flukes, will it affect his other eye as well?

It will... that doesn't mean it will always effect both eyes at once, but eventually both eyes would be cloudy and get infected.

Very possible. All families of flukes (except for gyrodactylids) are capable of infecting the eyes.

I think I will wait and make sure it is indeed flukes and then if it is, I will dose prazipro in my DT.

I just have to warn you that if this is flukes, the fish may be blind by then.
